Since 1851, our Scottish mill has crafted some world’s most renowned cashmere scarves.Finer, softer, and more insulating than sheep wool, this buttery soft piece is made from the coveted fine undercoat of cashmere goats living in the extreme cold weather climate of the Himalayas.Handled with delicate and expert care, the cashmere fibers are scoured in the soft waters of local Scottish rivers and are teaseled with the heads of dried teasel plants; a time-honoured technique which gently teases out the cashmere fibers into their iconic ripple finish.
With a legacy of over 200 years of tradition and expertise, this scarf was brought from raw fiber to finish in an 18th century Scottish mill.We are honoured to preserve and share with you the heritage and tradition of these master craftswomen and craftsmen.
